Mouse Mayes

Born deep in the Heart of Texas, Michael "Mouse" Mayes has been a veritable guitar-wizard since his early teens, rising to become a local music-legend and certified "Texas Tornado". He is most known for his smooth slide-guitar licks and bluesy southern-rock leads as well as his edgy, soulful lead vocals. Mouse has performed with Black Oak Arkansas (two tours), The Powerhouse, Buddy Whittington, Rocky Hill, Big D-Stuff, Ted Pearce, and most notably, recorded and performed with Point Blank for over 16 years, trading licks night-after-night with the great Rusty Burns as they toured throughout the USA and Europe.

Mouse's contributions to Point Blank’s albums, "Volume 9" and "Fight On", include lead vocals, lead guitar, and several song-writing credits. He has opened for such legendary artists as ZZ Top (Eliminator tour), as well as countless other national artists, while also achieving radio and commercial success with the Voodoo Kings on their national "Voodoo Love" album tour.

Larry Telford

Larry Telford, keyboardist extraordinaire, was recruited into Point Blank by founding members Rusty Burns, John O’Daniel, and Phillip Petty back in 2007 as the band was gearing up to play their first European tour. Larry had produced John O’Daniel’s solo album, "Legacy", in 1994 and had been close friends with the band since 1976. After their outstanding live concert on Rockpalast (German Music TV) in 2007, John and Rusty invited Larry to become a permanent member of Point Blank with the words, "You’ve got this gig for as long as you want it..." Larry took those words to heart and vowed to "Never stop, and never quit!" He kept that promise and has diligently worked to keep the music and legacy of Point Blank alive ever since—now going on seventeen years.

Larry Telford’s list of playing, producing, recording, and production credits reads like a "Who’s Who" of notable Texas & International recording artists, including Lee Roy Parnell, Keith Gattis, Willie Nelson, Kinky Friedman, Townes Van Zant, Robert Plant, Geezinslaw Brothers, Crosby,Stills & Nash, 38-Special, Eric Johnson, Jimmie Vaughn, Clay Walker, Point Blank, and many more...

Steve Wilson

Steve Wilson, electric bassist & lead-vocalist, has been a musical powerhouse in the Texas Music scene for decades. He wrote, produced, and engineered the Molly Maguires' "Deal With It" album, touring with them across the USA as they opened for international acts such as Nazareth, The Alarm, Muddy Waters, Peter Frampton, BTO, Johnny Diesel, The Clocks, Joe Perry, and Pat Travers. Steve also played with his brother Lindy Wilson in the Joe City band, Revolver, Godfire, Long-Distance, the Secret Party, Lipservice, the Buzz-Dawgs, Obsidian Glass, and more... As a commercial rock-vocalist, Steve has sung over a thousand radio-IDs, commercials, jingles, album projects, and voice-overs for Radio/TV-stations and production companies all over the world.

Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson, lead-guitarist and vocalist, is a bonafide "Texas Tornado" and a graduate of UNT's internationally acclaimed music program. He has written, recorded, toured, and/or performed with the following National & Regional acts: Great White, Jack Russell's Great White, Don Dokken, Redbone ("Come and Get Your Love"), Lita Ford, Bruce Kulick (Kiss, Grand Funk Railroad), Myron Grombacher (Pat Benatar), Todd Sucherman (Styx), Chris Frazier (Foreigner, Whitesnake, Steve Vai), Matt Laug (Alanis Morissette, AC/DC), Patrice Pike (Sister Seven, Little Sister), Rudy Sarzo (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne), Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck), Koko Powell (Edgar Winter Group), and Shem Schroeck (Don Felder, Kenny Loggins, Ambrosia, and Steve Perry).

Terry Ranson

Terry Wayne Ranson, born in Oklahoma and a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, embarked on his musical journey at 13, turning professional by 15. He garnered state and regional jazz championships as a soloist and attended the Stan Kenton Clinic on scholarship, studying odd times under Hank Levy. He moved to Texas in 1980, and toured with acts such as Lighting, The Molly Maguires, Rage, and more... Terry earned recognition as a "Texas Tornado" in 1984 (with Frank Beard from ZZ Top). Pausing his career for several years to raise his daughter as a single parent, he returned with a vengeance, performing with over a dozen acts, including notable Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Rush tributes, and consistently performs over 100 shows annually. Terry clinched the Dallas Observer's "2023 Drummer of the Year" award by a wide margin and proudly endorses Porter and Davies, as well as Altered Mode (Malletkat).
